  • it is not the tie rod on the end that is cracked, it is the adjusting sleeve that has a crack down the side, can i drive this to a mechanic ok. i see moisture around the adjusting sleeve and i think it might be throwing grease, i just had a tire.

    Take it to an alignment shop. That is the only way it can be done accurately. If you do it yourself, you will just be wearing out your tires and losing gas mileage.

    Having done alot of front end work I'll tell you the best way is to heat the sleeve end up with a propane torch.
