  • I'm trying to replace the steering rack bushings on my 72 240z with poly bushings. For some reason I'm having trouble getting the drivers side bushing to go on all the way. Has anyone had this problem and what's your advice.

    That side had the different shape inside kind of like a pointed "D" it may be upside down flip it over try again. Once you use tighter rack bushings then you will feel the track rods lower control.

    bushings are the rubber parts between a part and the car body. the steering rack and control arms are not the same part. they are mounted with different bushings.
