I have an older VW. Front and rear shocks are old and worn, and I want to replace them. I see ads for "front strut inserts. " Is it recommended to replace the original strut housings, or should I just by inserts and pray for the best.
I just had my front brakes, struts, and rotors replaced. The wheels were also re-aligned. The mechanic told me that the steering may seem a little "tight" as a result of the new struts, which it did, but nothing too abnormal. I should also add.
I HAVE A THIS NOISE COMING FROM I THINK IS THE PASSENGERS FRONT WHEEL IT HAPPENS ON A UNEVEN ROAD SURFACE AND OVER BUMPS, I HAVE REPLACED THE FOLLOWING WITH NO SUCCESS . DRIVE SHAFT O/S - TOP BRIDGE PART. DROP LINKS. ANTI ROLL BAR BUSHES. SUSPENSION.
My car has been rocky driving on the freeway, I'm getting new tires and want to replace the shocks, whats the diff between struts. Same thing. Easy to put on. Link to a video perhaps. Thanks in advance.
